The applicant | Liberation Community Finance is a rural and peri-urban microfinance institution dedicated to promoting financial inclusion among underserved communities in Uganda. Currently serving over 5,000 customers—72% of whom are women—across seven branches, the organization provides small loans to the rural population with the aim of ensuring financial inclusion |
Assistance requested | • Develop and implement a tailored micro-finance training program for local communities, women, and refugee groups. • Enhance beneficiaries’ understanding of financial literacy, loan management, and sustainable business practices. • Train trainers of the Applicant and community leaders to ensure the sustainability of the training initiatives. • Assess the financial challenges faced by target beneficiaries and provide recommendations for improving access to micro-credit. |

Profile of the Expert sought | • Master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, development studies, or a related field. • At least 7 years of experience in micro-finance, financial literacy training, or community development. • Proven experience in designing and delivering financial training programs for marginalized groups, particularly women and refugees. • Strong understanding of the micro-credit landscape in Uganda and challenges faced by vulnerable populations. • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage. |
